For Sale $ 6,500.00 firm
1950 Studebaker 1/2 Ton shortbed truck   ( 2R5 model )
All original truck, 170 cu in flathead 6 cyl engine, that
runs very good. 3 speed column shift. All gages work.
( an
extra desirable overdrive transmission is included )
brakes are being upgraded now with a dual master cyl.
Has some rust, but very repairable. Currently replacing
drivers floor pan. Body has original paint I believe and
has minimal dings and rust. Original rusted bed has
been replaced with flat sheet metal some time ago.
click on pictures for larger pics
You could restore this to original, everything is there. All new glass ( not installed ) is
included, with necessary rubber gaskets. Even new wing windows. New headliner ( not
installed ) included. All other parts needed are available through Studebaker International.
Original 16 in wheels and tires are old but still hold air.  Interior is in very good condition, the
seat is nicely covered, doors are great, everything operates as it should. Frame has a good
deal of surface rust but seems solid.
Since 1949 to 1953 models are identical and many parts are the same up to
1959, Studebaker lovers have very little trouble finding restoration parts.
The Studebaker Drivers Club has invaluable guidance and info too.
Or....you could hot rod it like these examples below.....Wow !....?
The dual master cylinder upgrade is now underway, this will provide safety over the
stock single master cylinder. New brake lines ( not installed yet ) are included, with
wheel cylinder overhaul kits also. As further work is completed the price will go up.
If you want a deal on a pretty solid truck, now is the time to bring a trailer and finish
the work yourself. I have recently purchased another Studebaker which has stolen
my attention ....and time, so it to the advantage of some lucky buyer. I believe this
truck shows about 54,000 miles, probably original.
